Traditionally, Osetra caviar is known for its golden undertones. In the olden days, Russian Sturgeon flourished in the Caspian. If one was caught with golden roe or large roe, it was immediately reserved for the king. Our Royal Osetra has golden tones ranging from rich amber to deep gold, and is accompanied by the nutty, buttery flavor for which Osetra is coveted. It is prepared in the tradition malossol spirit, with perfect salinity and a clean finish. Our Royal Osetra is packed fresh on the day of harvest in its final tin; it is never repacked or exposed to air. Served alone or as an adornment, this is caviar suited for royalty. Shelf Life: We are required to place a ‘Best Used By’ date of 3-4 weeks on all tins. Once the tin is opened, we recommend consuming your caviar within 24 hours (keep refrigerated and/or over ice during that period).

Amazing! Ordering and shipping was easy and great (if I was going to be really picky, I would say adding some additional info or specific flavor notes to each level of caviar could be helpful to help distinguish between all the levels and help decide which to order, I think I just said go big or go home and ordered the upgraded one) everything arrived the day I requested, well packed and cold. I put in fridge for 2 days and then had a wonderful dining experience with friends. The caviar is smooth, just a bit salty and just a hint of ocean taste. It was dreamy. The small tin of superior was enough for 4 to enjoy multiple tastes along with some ice cold vodka. It really doesn’t need anything but we had creme fraiche and some chives. We tried on potato chips, but honestly the salty chips over power the wonderful roe, so we opted for water crackers (I should have made blinis, but I was trying to make it easy on me). Maybe your next product… sleeves of frozen blinis….?! But best in show is the smoked scallops!! OMG! Amazing. We tried cold out of pack which is Smokey and good. But I heated some butter in a pan and added scallops for just 45 secs a side to get a little brown crust and heat a bit and those were spectacular! Flavor explosions. Everyone loved those and yes add a little caviar to the top and it’s pretty dreamy and you feel like your a rock star. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a little fantasy on a Wednesday night. Looking forward to ordering again

If you ever wondered what the fuss about (good) caviar is all about , then order some from Marshallberg Farm and you will find out . I acquired a taste for it back in the 60’s & 70’s , when Russian Beluga was still available , but have not been able to recreate the experience until now . I ordered my first tin from them about a year ago , curious to know if the product measured up to my expectations which it did beyond my wildest hopes . I admit to being a ‘ Caviar Snob ‘ and shamelessly want nothing but the best when I indulge in it . Marshallberg Farm delivers the goods every time . You can pay a lot more from other vendors with fancy names and New York addresses but the taste and quality will not match the freshness and integrity of this . Take it from a food snob , this caviar rocks , you won’t be disappointed .
